Short version: Sessions are not saved. There is no database. The only data we ever see is your email address (from your payment processor) and the fact that a session ran — never what was in it.

Session content: nothing. When you use the Pattern Break chat tool, your messages are sent to our serverless function, forwarded to the Anthropic API to generate a reply, and returned to your browser. Nothing is written to a database at any point — because there is no database. The conversation exists only in your browser's memory and disappears when you close or refresh the tab.
Function logs. Our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare) automatically logs basic metadata about function invocations: timestamp, duration, and status. These logs are retained for a short period and contain no message content.
Payment information. Subscription payments are processed by Gumroad. We receive your email address to send your access code. We do not receive or store your card number, billing address, or any other payment details — those stay with Gumroad.
Access codes. Your access code is stored as an environment variable on our hosting server — a single shared value, not tied to your identity. It is used only to verify that you have an active subscription.
Your messages are processed by Anthropic's API (claude-haiku model). Anthropic's own privacy policy governs how they handle API inputs. By default, Anthropic does not use API inputs to train models. See anthropic.com/privacy for their current policy.
We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, analytics scripts, or any third-party tracking technology on this site.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party, except as necessary to process your payment (Gumroad) and to generate your session replies (Anthropic API).
We do not retain session content because we never receive it in a stored form. Your email address is retained for as long as your subscription is active, then deleted on cancellation upon request.
You may request deletion of your email address at any time via our contact form. Since we hold no session content, there is nothing else to delete or export.
Pattern Break is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
